Ramadan & Eid wholesale stocking guide: order timing, MOQ and lead times

When to order Ramadan and Eid caps wholesale: expected 2027 dates, working back from your shelf date, MOQs and shipping times.

Last updated:

Ramadan and the two Eids are the moments many cap and headscarf retailers plan their year around: more people go to the mosque, especially for taraweeh, and Eid is a traditional time for new clothes and gifts. The main risk for importers is simple – stock that arrives after the season starts. This guide shows how to work back from the date you need goods on your shelves.

Expected dates for 2027

OccasionExpected date (subject to moon sighting)
Ramadan 1448 beginsaround 8 February 2027
Eid al-Fitraround 9–10 March 2027
Eid al-Adhaaround 16–17 May 2027

The Islamic calendar moves about 10–12 days earlier each year, so each season also starts earlier than last year. Final dates are confirmed locally after the crescent moon is sighted.

Work backwards from your shelf date

  • 1. Decide when stock must be in your shop or warehouse – many retailers want it a few weeks before Ramadan starts.
  • 2. Subtract transit time. China to Saudi Arabia by sea currently takes about 45–60 days due to regional shipping conditions; other destinations vary. Small volumes can go by air.
  • 3. Subtract production time – for each order it is set in the signed contract.
  • 4. Subtract time for samples and approval if you are ordering a new or custom design.
  • 5. Subtract time to confirm designs, quantities, sizes and packaging.

Example: if you want goods in Saudi Arabia by about 11 January 2027, a 45–60-day sea transit means they need to leave China between about 12 and 27 November 2026 – so production must be finished before then. If that is too tight, use air freight for smaller quantities, buy from our ready stock inside Saudi Arabia (delivery quoted by address and volume), or plan this order for Eid al-Adha instead.
